Great question! The Daily Writing Cafe is a digital 2 hour co-working session, offered Monday through Friday. We meet in a video chat room at the top of the hour and state our goals for the hour. Then it’s work time! Once the timer is up, we do it all again and get ourselves closer to finishing our creative projects!

Yep! Currently the writing cafe is only offered digitally so that more creatives have the opportunity to be apart of it. There are plans for the future to also host local writing cafe’s, but the future is never promised!

Though I love seeing everyone’s faces, I totally understand not wanting to show your face. The creatives that join the cafe range in visibility. Most of us turn our camera’s off for focus time and turn them back on for review time, but if you’re in need of extreme accountability then you are totally welcome to leave your camera on and I will do the same in solidarity!

Not yet! But I am absolutely working towards upgrading the cafe so that it is a set schedule. This goal is something I desperately desire and will focus on achieving the most.

Google Meet is my video room of choice. And nope, you don’t need a gmail account to join.

It ranges from me and 1 other person getting our focus on, to much much bigger groups.

We don’t generally have a lot of time to share specifics since we are focused on, well, focusing! There are also a ton of legalities I need to set in place, so even though I do have plans to have a sharing space, it is not currently a priority because I care more about helping people finish their projects.

I sure do! As a creative if you ever need a creative bounce board or a story coach, I’m your gal!

For now! And even after I start charging, I will always offer a free entry friday. The Daily Writing Cafe is essentially a focus gym for creatives, she can’t stay totally free forever. But don’t worry, I’ll try to keep the lass as affordable as possible so that all the creatives who want to finish their projects won’t have a huge barrier to entry.

Technically, you can work on anything. BUT, the whole purpose of the cafe is to get our creative projects done. So I prefer if you keep your promise to yourself and only focus on creative work OR things that just keep getting in the way form you working on your creations. Like if you haven’t been able to work on painting because you haven’t made your canvases… Please use the cafe to make those canvases. Or maybe you haven’t written your next chapter because your mind is plagued by getting your taxes done. Please please please just use the cafe to finish your taxes and get that mind cleared so you can write your awesome story! The cafe is here to help you move forward in your creative endeavors!!!

Nope. We spend the majority of the meetings working so there’s not a whole lot to record really.

Honestly, not much. The Daily Writing Cafe is pretty much a co-working/body double space just geared more for the creatives of the world!

Ofcourse! The more the merrier. AND a special incentive to get your friends in early is that the Daily Writing cafe will not always be free. She is getting many many upgrades these coming months so everyone that is signed up prior will get a heavy discount, while everyone that signs up after the price implementation will not. I will also be giving my long time regulars an even steeper discount so try to become a regular!

Well first off, great job for getting this far! I try to make everything streamlined and easy but if you’re finding anything difficult then after subscribing you can just send me an email with what you find difficult and I’ll try to help you through it as much as I can without teleporting.

I am so sorry. I too know the struggles of shitty internet. I pray that you might be blessed with fast speeds someday. But in terms of the cafe, what I’ve always recommended that tends to work is just rocking the cafe without your video on. There’s also video quality settings you can adjust in google meet. I also recommended closing your 68 tabs. When we have that many tabs open, is it really the internet or is it our ADHD slowing everything down? And even beyond only audio and closing your soul tabs, there is still a few other things you can do but we can talk about that after you’ve signed up 🙂
